Exercise-benefits-more when you make it a part of your daily activities and enjoy doing so. Here are some more responses from a survey I conducted and asked some persons how they maintain good health. .Outdoor activities helpA gym membership would be a waste of money for me. Regular outdoor exercise-benefits-more. I have found, however, that I really enjoy exercising outside. In the summer months, my wife and I hike quite a bit. In the summer we hike to the Blue Mountain , we really enjoy the outdoor activities. I try to eat healthy foods, but I admit that I should pay better attention to portion size.
Some members of my immediate family smoked cigarettes and I’ve seen first-hand the damage it can do. A few years ago, my mother had a heart attack and died. She was 54. It did not have to happen that way, it's the choice she made. I’ve never smoked a cigarette and I never will. You see, I want to be there when my son gets married and when my grandchildren are born. Take your poodle around the blockWalking our dogs twice a day helps me and them to keep in shape. I also try to eat healthy and avoid rich desserts and candy most of the time. Working with friends who are positive and caring for our community in a variety of organizations adds to the richness of living and bringing back the spirit of volunteerism that is becoming a thing of the past. Eat right, drink water and exercise-benefits-more overall.Like many women, I make an effort to reduce the risk factors contributing to degenerative diseases. I consume quantities of fruit, vegetables and low fat milk, control my blood pressure, take a food supplement daily, maintain a low cholesterol diet, could be religious about daily physical activity and maintain a reasonable weight by drinking enough water and regular exercise-benefits-more.
Did you know that more than half of all deaths due to heart disease occur in women. It is also notable that one in three women die of heart disease compared to one in 30 who die of cancer.It is sobering information, which should cause each of us to review our behavior and make the appropriate changes in our lifestyles. Eating the right food is most importantMy diet plays a vital role in the maintenance of good health and in the prevention and cure of disease. I don't get sick any more, and that is by choice. In the words of Sir Robert McCarrison, one of the best known nutritionists, ‘The right kind of food is the most important single factor in the promotion of health ; and the wrong kind of food is the most important single factor in the promotion of disease'. Our body builds up and maintains healthy cells, tissues, glands and organs only with the help of various nutrients. Our body cannot perform any of its functions, be they metabolic, hormonal, mental, physical or chemical, without specific nutrients. The food I eat provides these nutrients is one of the most essential factors in building and maintaining the health I enjoy. Maintain a healthy lifestyleI have never been one to take good care of myself or maintain good health. In fact, I did everything wrong.That has changed since I underwent open heart surgery five months ago.
I am pleased to say I am doing fine and have committed myself to a healthy lifestyle. I have finally quit smoking, I now relax more, exercise-benefits-more daily and I am doing a fairly good job of sticking to a healthy diet, although I do cheat a little on occasion. Desrine Daniels Kingston
