Stressful-job related hormones can destroy you.

Stressful-job related hormones can bring strife and gloom to your working life

Just imagine, you are financially trying to make that 8 am deadline, and it happens again: Your stomach churns, your head aches, and your face looks like a war zone. You know you're able to handle the pressure, so why is your body betraying you?

I found this article by Cynthia Hacinu in the Sunday Magazine of January 7, 1996 very informative. She noted that Researchers have determined that hormones released by the brain during high-stressful-jobs can trigger health problems in your body.

However, if you are a woman, your more complicated hormonal structure may make you more prone to physical flare-ups. But by recognizing stressful-job related symptoms, you can help keep yourself healthy and get the job done.

Ulcers

That burning sensation could be gastritis, a pre-ulcer condition, or a full-fledged ulcer itself. The article continue to state that Researchers at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles have now identified the hormone TRH (tryrotropin-releasing-hormone), which stimulate gastric acid secretion; during stressful period, TRH output increases, triggering excess gastric acid secretion. Eventually, the acid can eat at the stomach wall.

Ulcer medications can help a little, she says, although they work on the stomach rather than stopping the problem at its source. Remember that medication cannot cure your sickness, it only suppresses it and cause more problems later. Ultimately, the goal is to treat the ulcer where it starts - in the brain - by regulating TRH.

Acne

In the article she also states that Dermatologists are seeing record numbers of women who are getting acne for the first time at the ripe old age of 25. Why the dramatic change? Stress-ful job increases the amount of male hormone in the body, which in turn stimulates the oil glands. Breakouts occur when excess oil coats the skin and feeds bacteria on the surface.

Travel and changes in sleep patterns can also throw your hormones off balance, setting the stage for an outbreak. Makeup, especially if it's oil-based only make things worse. Anything that you put on your skin, should be made from natural stuff that you can put in your mouth as well.

Fortunately, stress-caused acne usually goes away when the pressure does. To help with the problem you should use oil-free make-up, a nutriance bath gel that relaxes the skin and opens the pores.

Acnes and Pains

Many headaches are related to stress-ful job, according to Anne Remmes MD, who runs the Treatment Centre for Headaches and facial pain at Northern University in Chicago. Hormonal changes - such as premenstrual stress, pregnancy or going on or off the Pill - can make your headache worse. Pain in your back, neck, muscles, arms, shoulders or hands can also be traced to stress.

How can you stop stress from getting physical? You can practice Self-relaxation techniques - deep breathing, muscle exercises and visual imagery. And greater awareness of your body might make it easier to stop muscles from tensing up. Best remedy is to get to the root of the problem - and stop letting a stressful-job get the better of you.work stress do a job on your body. A stressful-job may not worth the price you will have to pay for your health later. Act now, and relieve your stress.
