Train your mind to think positive
Train your mind, you become what you think
As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he, (the Bible).
Would you say that you are responsible for your thinking? Most certainly, you can train your mind to think positive.
Just listen to your
self-talk, that inner dialogue you have with yourself. The ideas you give birth to and produce
as decisions or actions to take regarding life's situations.
All of us talk to and listen to ourselves. Those of us who know God, will communicate with God
and God will respond to us in different ways.
One such way is your conscience, that inner voice
is always watching and recording everything you do. That is why you will feel guilty after you
say or do something.
It is that same voice that you can train to think positive, healthy, successful, pure and beautiful thoughts.
You can trian it to say wonderful things about youself and others.
Most of those persons who are happy,
did not inherit happiness. First of all, material things do not make you happy for long,
happiness is a state of the mind, the trained mind. You have to
train your mind to think positive.
You might be amazed to know that subject like happiness, success and good health
are subjects that can be studied and learnt like other subjects. How many persons do you think ever bother
to find out more about these topics and study them? right, very few.
It's the way you think...!
It there any wonder why we have so many poor, sick and miserable people in the world. You can change your
thinking and your life will change for better. The way you think about a situation will either may you
happy or destress you.
For example, let's say you were made reduntant from your job, there are two
ways to respond to this situation. One, you can start worrying about what is going to happen to
you and your family who depends on you as the main bread winner.
You start asking yourself questions like, "what did I do wrong?", "why am I so bad-lucky"? "why did it have to
happen to me"? "when will I, if ever, get another job"? "will anyone else hire me"? "How am I going to
pay my bills and meet other financial needs"? So you dress yourself up with worry and decided to go
to this "pity party" with your victim mentality.
With all these questions and worry come stress, headache, depression, frustration, blur thinking,
anger, anxiety, pain and sickness. You start telling yourself all the bad things that might happen to
you and your family from now on.
All of the dark possibilities are searched for and highlighted.
You are now becoming helpless and hopeless, as your imagination creates a very dark future.
You are now busy trying to find solutions for problems that you have created.
With more frustration setting in, because you can't see your way out of this unfortunate situation
that you find yourself in, you are falling deeper in depression. You are now seeing the whole
situation as totally hopeless and suicide may be the best way out.
You may now be acting in a weird,
inappropriate and even violent manner. All of this started by you thinking negative and created
your own future in your mind.
Now let us look at the other way you could deal with the same situation, with your mind trained to think positive.
Being made redundant, you could see
that as a blessing in disguise.
You could now think of ways to liberate yourself from your nine to five job
and become your own boss. Now you start thinking like an entrepreneur, a business person. You are imagining
yourself managining your own company with employees to deal with.
Or even better than that, you are thinking about working for yourself from home.
Just imagine the idea of staying in your bed until your are finish sleeping.
Just imagine finding time to eat a proper meal with your family in the morning.
Just imagine not having to get into the rush hour traffic that can be so
stressful. Just think about earning
what you are really worth. Do you know that on the job, we are not being paid what we are worth? We are being
paid just enough to keep us from quitting!
